SCHOOL ADMINISTRATION & ORGANISATIONAL SET UP
The administration of the school is vested in the Board of Governors, an autonomous body under the chairmanship of the Defence Minister. The Chief Minister / Education Minister of the States in which Sainik School located are the members of the Board of Governors.
The Principal of the school is an active service officer of the rank of Colonel (or its equivalent rank of Indian Air Force or Indian Navy). He is assisted by a Vice Principal who is of the rank of Lt. Col.
The Sainik Schools are managed by Sainik School Society registered under the Societies’ Registration Act under the aegis of Ministry of Defence, Government of India, New Delhi. Organisational set up of Sainik Schools Society is as under :
