ABOUT US
Sainik School Rewari, located in the village of GothraTappaKhori in Rewari District, Haryana, was inaugurated on August 29, 2008, by Shri A.K. Antony, the then Hon’bleRakshaMantri. The school is situated 15 km southwest of Rewari town along the Rewari-Narnaul Road.
Aim
Its primary objective is to prepare students, both boys and girls, academically, mentally, and physically for admission to the National Defence Academy (NDA) in Khadakwasla. The institution focuses on empowering students from economically weaker sections of society to pursue a prestigious and challenging career as officers in the Indian Defence Services. It emphasizes character development, dedication, patriotism, and team spirit, which are core values nurtured by Sainik Schools.
Strength
At present the school has 533 cadets studying in classes VI to XII.
Curriculum
The school is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi. The school prepares boys and girls for compulsory science stream for all India Secondary School and all India Senior Secondary School Certificate Examinations. Sports and other co-curricular activities are given equal emphasis along with the academics in the school so as to develop an all-round balanced personality of leadership by making NCC training compulsory for all the Cadets of the school.Sainik School Rewari basically caters for the boys and girls of the state of Haryana and Union Territory of Delhi but certain seats are available for outsider also. There is a very liberal scheme of scholarship which is provided by the concerned State Govt./ Union Territory Administration on the basis of income slabs of Cadets’ parents.
Our School Motto
The motto of the school is embodied in Sanskrit words meaning is ‘Gyan, Sadhbhawna, Deshbhakti.
